Start sweetening your tea with honey! Natural honey is a great source of carbohydrates, and it sweetens without adding any preservatives or additives to your tea lowering effects on your insulin and glucose levels.
Well welcome to my kitchen. Have a seat, here’s a cold glass of Iced Blushberry Tea.

Here is a phrase that was not in my vocabulary “eat right and exercise”. Allow me to begin walking you through how the Holy Spirit has used Trinity Fitness to reach my goals. TF introduced me to a lifestyle called clean eating. Wait a minute! Was my eating dirty?

No, the food wasn’t dirty, but it was not healthy. Clean eating comes down to eating foods that are not processed and changed from their original form. Basically, eat from foods that surround the grocery store. Leave the stuff in the middle alone. That includes eliminating all sugar and processed sweeteners of any variety, flour of any variety and anything you can get in a box or can or bag depending on the type of food. My goodness! What is left?!!!
What’s left are whole foods such as lean meats, fruit and vegetables. Now you can get frozen vegetables, fruit and meat (not processed that it is breaded). Guess what?! God created bees that make HONEY!!! There you have it. The all natural sweetener.

Okay now that I have put you in a little disheartened mood, allow me to show you to the other side. Your treats are not gone. Your salty goodness is not gone. Say what?! I know, I couldn’t imagine eating grass, weeds and tree bark either. Buckle your seat belts we are going on an adventure.

Going forward we will explore how you and your spouse if married can walk your own journey to health. The key thing to remember is that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Back in the day, let’s face it, God wanted a “pretty” place. Sarai was fair to look at. Let’s not skip Solomon’s love in his songs. How have you been treating your temple for the Holy Spirit?

Together, we (yes we because I’m going to be with you every step of the way) are going to transform inside and out.

Let me leave you with this to meditate on for a bit.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Amplified

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.

This is the end of a 15-year struggle. What turned things around for me was asking the Holy Spirit to take control. THAT should have been my first move. Along the way I've grown so much spiritually. Now I'm a size 6 and in normal healthy weight range. A status I have not had associated with before.

So I am excited to share these recipes and valuable health tips that have and still continue to help me maintain not only my weight, but also a healthy lifestyle.
