Too often we find ourselves worn out and empty, wondering why we are not as effective ministering to others as we should be. Part of the reason is that too many of us minister out of a place of emptiness. When we seek the Lord and He begins to pour into us, like a parent, filling our flasks with our favorite milkshake. It is so good that we can’t wait to share it with those around us. We become so excited that we rush in mid pour to distribute what we have. We then give freely and liberally of what we ourselves barely have, only to run back home in search of another few drops. We then find ourselves saddened because what we desire is no longer being poured.
